Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog JUJU went through over the weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.

Taylor told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Jujur's feet were visible red and damaged, with toenails that were too close to paws. This likely triggered Jujur biting.

Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.

James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.

James described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." The wounds were so severe they caused bleeding."

Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.

Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James said, "Jonny told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He mentioned that he used the same here method for his own dogs.

Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
